Human Research & the Institutional Review Board

The primary goal of the IRB is to facilitate ethically responsible human subjects research. All research that is conducted by faculty, staff, or students involving human subjects at CU-Boulder must be reviewed by the IRB prior to conducting the research.

New Tutorials Posted

The IRB Office has updated the Continuing Review tutorial to reflect the change in CR requirements. New CITI training tutorials have been posted as well. 

Changes to Continuing Review Requirements

May 21, 2012

You are no longer required to attach study documents, including any informed consent documents or the protocol document with your Continuing Review submissions.  The IRB office maintains copies of all approved study documents in eRA and will reference those documents during the review.
